	Wai-Con is done and dusted and was a fantastic weekend. Thanks to everybody that came and played some games, whether it was in the 8-Man events or just casually. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and would appreciate any feedback you can provide. Now moving onto this weekend which will see the WA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS!!! being played out and the discount vouchers (limit 1 per player) from Wai-Con are able to be used for this event. $15 standard entry fee before any discounts players use from the Convention events, and the winner gets all the glory: a trophy, a Nintendo DS Lite and Turbo Pack 7 packs. Other prizes are: - 8 Carry Cases (random prizes) - Booster Pack (Order of Chaos) - Turbo Pack 7 (the newest of them all)

	Judge Testing and Judge Call For those of you 16 years of age and older and wanting to become a Yu-Gi-Oh! Judge, you can take the test here. And on that note, I am still in need for people to judge at the following events, bearing in mind, all events will now have 2 assistant judges: January 7th, 2012 -- 2 JUDGES OBTAINED February 4th, 2012 -- 2 JUDGES OBTAINED March 3rd, 2012 -- 1 MORE JUDGE REQUIRED March 31st, 2012 -- 2 JUDGES REQUIRED April 28th, 2012 -- 2 JUDGES REQUIRED May 26th, 2012 -- 2 JUDGES REQUIRED June 9th, 2012 -- 2 JUDGES REQUIRED Thankyou. Pre-Registering I've made a small change that will HELP eliminate the problems of late registration. Pre-registering makes it easier for me to get through registering players quicker and helps if you are running late, as I will not remove you if I know you are coming. Please bear in mind: - that if you choose not to pre-register for normal events, you will still be able to just show up on the day and play. - the changes are just being made for those who do wish to pre-register. - Sneak Previews remain a pre-registered get preference event. - Pre-registered players that haven't shown up 5 minutes before the first round begins will be removed. If you don't have a Konami ID, email me via the contact form selecting "Konami ID Required" with your full name in the "Query" text box as well as in the "Your Name" text box. If you have a Konami ID, have registered on the site and it isn't appearing in the top bar where your name is, please make a post with your Konami ID in the Site Developments forum. I hope this makes more people pre-register and makes everybody happier that if they pre-register either on the site or by email, that they will be able to participate in the event, even if they are running a bit late.

	TournamentsWA has created a group on Facebook for you to join. There you can discuss things with other players and get up to the minute updates on event changes or new products being sold by us. You can join us here!! Also today I receieved official word from Julia Hedberg via the US Judge Support mail listing: Xyz Materials are now OFFICIALLY NOT considered to be on the field. The extract from the email follows: Xyz Materials Monsters that are used to Xyz Summon are called �Xyx Materials�, and are placed underneath the Xyz Monster, to show that they are attached to it. Monsters that have become Xyz Materials are not treated as cards on the field. When an Xyz Monster leaves the field, all of the Xyz Materials attached to it are sent to the Graveyard. If an Xyz Monster is flipped face-down, or becomes controlled by the opponent, the Xyz Materials are not sent to the Graveyard. They remain attached to the Xyz Monster. Leaves The Field Some monsters have effects that activate when they �leave the field�. For example, these effects activate when the monster is sent to the Graveyard, or is banished, or is returned to the hand or Extra Deck. When a monster on the field is shuffled into the Main Deck, or becomes an Xyz Material, it is no longer a card on the field, however its effects that activate when it �leaves the field� will not activate.

	There has been a need to update this due to people not thinking they have enough time to get their decklists in due to how I hand out decklist forms. It is as follows. My Arrival at the Venue: Approx 9:00am Registrations Open: Approx 9:30am Registrations Close: 10:40am Deck Lists Handed In: 10:50am Round 1: 11:00am (30 minutes) Round 2: 11:45am (30 minutes) Round 3: 12:30pm (30 minutes) Lunch until 1:40pm Round 4: 1:40pm (30 minutes) Round 5: 2:25pm (30 minutes) Round 6: 3:10pm (30 minutes) Prizes: 4:00pm Finals: 4:15pm Close: 6:00pm Times may change due to rounds ending early because of all results being handed in before time is up for that round or a 7th round being played. This timetable is to be taken as a guideline only. Deck checks will not be done at the start of the day, they will be random throughout the day. Due to this, registration may be paid first before handing in decklists. Decklists can be printed out from the Konami web site (located here) and prepared before the day if players know what deck they are playing. It is assumed that players are professional enough when coming to TournamwntsWA events that they have checked the Advanced Restrictions list and their decks and decklists to ensure that they all conform, are correct and that the deck matches the decklist 100%.
